\"\"<\/a>Some TQ-related good news on the BBC today: the restoration of the SS Nomadic (the Titanic’s little sister ship, which has been lying dormant under scaffolding and tarps for the last few months) is about to get moving. \u00a0Appropriately enough, Harland & Wolff will be carrying out the work, rather neatly closing the circle of their involvement with the ship.<\/p>\n

And finally, in the spirit of the Shared Medley, I was interested to find this article<\/a> archived on the BBC news site. \u00a0Too many separate bodies, working in competition rather than co-operation, failing to communicate, actually cripple the progress of their shared aim – I’ll leave you to draw your own parallels…<\/p>\n

UPDATE:\u00a0 so I\u2019ve just been for a look – what an encouraging sight!\u00a0 Nomadic is surrounded by Harland and Wolff workmen – just as it was pretty much exactly 100 years ago.\u00a0 The tarps are down and if you squint at the photos closely, you\u2019ll see that all Nomadic\u2019s metalwork has been treated and covered with a coat of primer, leaving it ready for the next stage of its restoration to full original condition.<\/p>\n
