Well as many of you may have heard by email (maybe 20 or 30 times over…), the Bennetts had a wee break last week (although a lot of it was spent looking at nice boats that would look very well in the TQ. \u00a0You can take the boy out of The Dock, but…)<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>So, straight back to the exciting life of Dock-World! \u00a0This coming Saturday, we’re holding the next ‘Meet the Neighbours’ event for the emerging TQ community. \u00a0This time it’s going to take the shape of a deckchair cafe serving (free!) Saturday brunch – bagels, croissants and top-notch coffee – from one of the empty units at the base of the Arc apartments. \u00a0Details will follow later in the week – at this stage I’m looking for volunteers – anyone who can help out on Friday morning (with a leaflet drop) or Saturday morning (with setting up and running the event).<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>As ample reward, you’ll get a top-notch breakfast for free, meet some fantastic people, and be part of building a brand-new community – not something you get to do every day! \u00a0You might even be interested in the important job of ‘Lone Newspaper Reader’. \u00a0At our brainstorm a few weeks ago, someone mentioned how important it is, when you walk into a cafe full of strangers, to know that it’s OK to be on your own – to be able to sit and read the paper and not feel isolated or awkward. \u00a0So we need a ‘Lone Newspaper Reader’ to do just that in the Deckchair Cafe to set the example!<\/p>\n
