If you’ve been following The Dock adventure from the start, you’ll know that one of the bright ideas that kick-started the whole project was the concept that church in the Titanic Quarter would be kinda cool on a boat.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>\"\"<\/a>It’s not a brand new idea – as you can see from the pics it’s already being done in Canary Wharf in London and the Cardiff docks – but given Belfast’s proud history of boat building it seems too good a chance to miss. \u00a0One of the things I’ve learnt recently is that 100 years ago, Belfast docks were the envy of the entire world – <\/em>no-one could touch us for size, scale and expertise in shipbuilding.<\/p>\n

So on a slightly smaller scale, I went on a Dock Adventure a few days ago to meet a few guys involved in some ship building of their own. \u00a0In many ways, given the resources they had to work with, their achievement is no less impressive than the megaships pouring out of Belfast shipyards at the turn of the last Century. \u00a0Have a look at the new video to see what I found, and if you want to find out more about the people in the vid check out http:\/\/riverbannloughneagh.org\/<\/a><\/p>\n
