Well it’s been another mighty week down in the old TQ!
First of all on Sunday, the place was packed for the 10K marathon (I’d intended to run it myself – honest! – until circumstances over the last few weeks kinda distracted me… maybe next year!) It was great to see the Quarter full of traffic and people milling about – gives a little picture of what it will be like in a few year’s time!
As if that wasn’t exciting enough, yesterday we had some famous visitors. Forget Natalie Portman and James Franco (both to be found wandering the TQ last summer as they shot the movie Your Highness in the Paint Hall) – these guys are proper celebrities. Have a look at the picture – the hair gives it away (although one of them is going for the slicked-down look these days) – yep it’s Jedward!
Posing with them in the pic is Sally, one of the brilliant people who serves you your coffee in the Pump House Cafe. With my usual impeccable timing, I arrived at the cafe 20 minutes after they had left. Doh!
But now back to the future. So you’ve hopefully been following the story so far – coffeestorming…shared…medley…
The question is, is the shared medley a pipe dream, or could it actually work in the real world? Well I reckon it can – and if you’ve been to college, or to a hospital, or even an airport, you’ve come across a prime example of a shared medley in action. Let me explain…
