Something to make you laugh, pray and worship…

A couple of visuals for you today…

The first is just to give you a laugh – because it might in fact be the BEST YOUTUBE VIDEO EVER!  A pitch-perfect parody of every Oscar-grabbing movie trailer you’ve ever seen:   (might be worth saying: some of the language in this is a bit un-PC – might be worth giving it a miss if you’re very sensitive to such things!)

The second is a quick mobile-phone snap of the front page of the Belfast Telegraph, taken while I was waiting for my Chinese dinner (honey chilli chicken, mmm).  Yep the Titanic Quarter is in the headlines again – this time it’s a story about the legal battles over the completed apartments.  I can understand the frustration on both sides – the developers feel that the purchasers committed to a sale, but some of the buyers claim that they are genuinely unable to complete their purchase as a result of the Credit Crunch.  Whatever happens in the court case, I find myself really hoping that these setbacks don’t hinder or cripple the growth of the TQ and the vision of the developers.  The more time I spend here, the more I’m becoming swept up in the excitement of this new part of Belfast – and the more I long to see it thrive and succeed.  Belfast deserves more Good News – in every sense – so hopefully these gloomy headlines won’t be the end of the story!

Here’s the picture – maybe you could use it as a visual prompt to pray for those caught on both sides of the battle, for all those living in financial worry or anxiety, and for the future of our city:

The third is a link to a brilliant visual reflection from the WordLive website (which you’ll always find linked from the ‘Connect’ tab on The Dock homepage – check it out as often as you can!). Looking at the attitude of worship of some of the characters in Exodus, it’s just a chance to take a few moments worshipping our Creator.

Here’s the link – enjoy! :
