Dock walkers, led by Ronnie & Lyn, were encouraged to give thanks as we began our walk yesterday around Titanic Quarter.
I had taken a wee drive through TQ on Thursday on my way back from a pastoral call and was delighted to see lots of students walking to and from the college and not only that, but there were lots of bicycles chained up too. So it was great to give thanks for the transformation that has taken place during recent weeks. Driving further on I noticed again the ‘Legacy Building’ and began to think of what sort of legacy us Dock walkers are leaving? I suppose we have no idea at the moment but we still have plenty to give thanks for! September, because the ‘boss’ is on holiday, has meant that others have led the our worship each Sunday, with another new face next week….. team has certainly worked, so we give thanks! We might even have some new blog contributors soon, sharing their thoughts on the Dock (won’t we……) and that is something else to give thanks for…
Why not take a moment today to think about what you can give thanks to God for….

Thanks Karen, for your enthusiasm (always knew Chris was infectious!). I want to give thanks for everyone who encourages others, especially my congregations who encourage me. Thank you Lord
Dear friends abroad, Nicole and I still marvel at the wonderful experience we had participating in your Dock-walk when we were on holiday this past July. We give thanks that you invited us to be with you and partake in your service. Nicole is in the process of writing a piece to go in our Church Newsletter for November and December. You are all amazing disciples of our Lord and we give thanks for that!
We are fast approaching our American tradition of Thanksgiving–turkey, fixings and family/friends sharing time in thanks for all that we have.
I’m thankful for this blog and internet posts that allow Nicole and me to keep in touch with the wonderful group that participates in the TQ walks. Your spirit is uplifting and we enjoyed our time in Belfast. I give thanks for God’s presence in my life and in the lives of others.I give thanks to God that we were in the TQ at the same time as the group that does their church without walls walk and studies, otherwise, we would never have met. I am a firm believer that God wanted us to meet that day and to maintain a connection across the Atlantic. Peace and Blessings.
