Dock Cafe can be reached on foot or by bike. If you’re travel by car you have to park a little bit away and walk. It’s good for you! (and it means you can sit outside on the Dock deckchairs on a sunny day without choking on exhaust fumes).
You can’t fail to notice that Dock Cafe is liberally sprinkled with the contents of my Titanic-themed library. 101 Things You Thought You Knew About Titanic, The Discovery Of Titanic, Building Titanic, Sinking Titanic… And this one, a personal favourite – the story of Bruce Ismay.
Several groups have used the Dock’s shiny boardroom table for meetings, discussions and planning sessions. Get out of the office, allow us to serve you coffee and scones, surround yourselves with space and art and light, watch the creativity soar.
Someone walked over the wet concrete when the apartments were being built, assuming that their little journey would be hidden when a proper floor was installed. I kinda like it that their footprints are now a feature of Dock Cafe!
