Christmas Day viewing…
I came across this this morning, so when you are wondering what to watch on TV after all the festivities, this might be of interest?!
Titanic Trailer previewing the new mini series for 2012 which Chris had previously mentioned in a blog
Have a great Christmas!

So what do you do on a ‘dry’ Saturday morning….?
….. go indoors of course!! Particularly if it is as cold and windy and as cold and windy as it was this morning. We ventured into the space below the apartments where the 2nd birthday party bash happened (so sorry I couldn’t be there but unfortunately (or not) I was on holiday in sunny Florida). This morning we had lots of fresh coffee, hot chocolate, yummy tray bakes
(thanks to a local bakery and someone in Sydenham Methodist!), great conversations with some amazing people.
The reason why we ventured inside when it was ‘dry’?? …. watch this space and hopefully all will be revealed in good time!

Justin Who?

So it was kind of a bit mad this morning at Meet the Neighbours, in a really, really, really good way! This was by far the busiest morning ever. Not enough cups, milk, sugar, water …. okay…you get the picture!
Lots and lots of teenagers queueing at the back of the Odyssey arena in the hope of getting a glimpse of someone called Justin Bieber, or Lady GaGa or any other big celebrity arriving for the MTV EMA awards tomorrow night! What a privilege on such a cold November morning to offer them and anyone else a mug of hot chocolate, tea or coffee and some wonderful traybakes! (by the way Joanne Ruth & Michael you did a fab job!!!) Will the teenagers, who will stay until late tonight and come back tomorrow, get a glimpse of their musical heart-throb or hero … I have no idea….but I pray they got a glimpse of something else….. the Kingdom of God in action!

Rain stops play???
So the weather forecast was pretty terrible but undeterred we set up October’s meet the neighbours cafe. What a fantastic morning it was and yes it did rain in the end but it didn’t stop us from indulging in cups of tea, coffee and hot chocolate not to mention the yummy tray bakes! I learnt that are many many ways to serve hot chocolate and everyone seemed to have their favourite way! Lots to eat and drink and plenty of conversations with many people, residents, tourists, passersby ….all in all a fantastic morning!
