Let’s do brunch

So here’s the plan:  Meet The Neighbours, Part Deux…

If you were at the last event, with all the mulled wine and snow, you’ll remember how much fun it is to be part of a new community, connecting for the first time.  Being the venue for that connection is something I think The Dock can really offer to the TQ.  So, here goes again!

The plan is to gather in one of the empty shop units at the base of the Arc Apartments for Saturday Brunch on the first Saturday of every month.  (We’ll see as time goes on if that proves to be a good time of the week – if not, we can be completely flexible).  Free brunch – fresh coffee, bagels, croissants, pain au chocolat, cookies, muffins…  An open space where people can meet, connect, or just read the paper in peace if they want!

The plan is to be open for people to drop in and out between 11 and 1, and at 12 to gather briefly together to hear the latest news about the progress of the TQ.  For this first meeting I’ve managed to get hold of some fantastic info about the plans for Titanic Belfast (the big star-shaped museum) – future meetings could bring updates about the progress of the Nomadic, the Records Office, the Met, the Walking Tours, the opening up of the Dry Dock… the list is endless!

The more the merrier – so if you’re free to drop by between 11 and 1 on Saturday morning (5th March) – or to help spread the word by doing a leaflet drop to the apartments (meeting at the Odyssey Streat at 11:30 on Friday 4th March) – it would be great to see you.  Happy brunching!
