A couple of weeks ago when we were updating the website we added the Scripture Union site ‘WordLive’ to the Connect tab on the homepage.  I don’t know if you’ve had a chance to check it out yet but I’m here again to really encourage you to give it a go!  Today’s entry is a good example of how varied and creative the different responses to the Bible passage can be – from one little stretch of Exodus there’s a ‘thought for the day’, some prayer points, an attempt to grapple with a really difficult ‘Why did God do that?’ question from the passage (and I had just been thinking, I bet they gloss over that difficult bit), something called a slam poem (?!) and a really thoughtful meditation to listen to.  By the time most of you read this it will probably have been updated again (it changes every day, although you can access any date you missed and want to go back to) and the new selection will have just as much variety.  It’s incredible that these guys put so much work and creativity into every single day.

With so much variety there are probably going to be some things that ‘click’ and that you’ll love, and some things that just don’t work for you.  And there’s a lot of stuff – I’m not going to pretend that I get through all of it every day – I don’t.  But it’s an amazing resource for not just reading the Bible but responding, worshipping and meditating on it as well.  Give it a go and tell me what you reckon!
