Taking a leap…

On 13th March I’ll be plummeting towards the Titanic dock – the Thompson Graving Dock – trusting in something called a Powerfan to stop me diving to my doom!  The website says – “enter a specially built Pod and get hoisted 100 feet into the air!  You’ll then one by one jump feet first out of the Pod hurtling towards the ground, stopping with just a few feet to spare after the most amazing adrenaline rush of your life!”

I’m doing it to raise money for Habitat For Humanity, a fantastic charity dedicated to eliminating substandard housing and homelessness worldwide, and specifically for Liz Fleming, a friend from Carryduff who is travelling to India with Habitat in March to work on a building project.  Since the Titanic Quarter is all about making new homes, it seems like a good fit – Habitat is founded on the conviction that every man, woman and child should have a simple, decent and affordable place to live in dignity and safety.

If you’d like to sponsor me, you can donate simply and securely by clicking on this link:

And if you’d like to come along and see the plummet in action – I’m due to be stepping off the platform between 1:00 and 1:30 on 13th March – it would be great to have you there for moral support!
